Pet therapy pup Noodle the dog visits Linden House to surprise residents just before Christmas.

Epsom Care Home Delighted With New Four-legged Friend

Epsom-based care home Linden House has a furry new resident after welcoming Noodle the dog to the home.

The mixed-breed three-year-old dog regularly visits Linden House and receives lots of attention – and sausages – from everyone at the home, who are always delighted to see her.

In the run-up to Christmas, Noodle made a surprise return to Linden House to join the residents for some festive cuddles.

During this year, the pawsome pooch has become a frequent visitor to the home and is always doted on. Residents love to spend time giving her lots of treats and playing with her. Taking Noodle on long walks to the local park is also a firm favourite.

Pip, activities coordinator at Linden House, said: “The residents are always so pleased to see Noodle. Some ask me every day when she is coming back.”

A Bundle of Energy

“Noodle is very well behaved, and he’ll sit quietly on their lap, but for those who want to take her to the park and throw the ball, she’s a bundle of energy. It’s well-known that animal visits are excellent for those with dementia, but I think most people’s moods are lifted when they get to spend time with a dog as happy and well behaved as Noodle!”

Linden House prides itself on being a pet-friendly home, with budgies and guinea pigs among the home’s four-legged residents.
