Featherton House Cares Episode 6

Caring For Care Home Residents Through Hydration

Welcome to another look at life inside our delightful care home in the village of Deddington, near Banbury. In the last two episodes of our Featherton House Cares Series, we helped you discover some of the daily activities care home residents get to enjoy. In episode 7, we wanted to share how we care for the health of our residents. You’ll also get another inside look at some of our improvements and learn more about our team.

The Importance of Hydration

We all know how terrible it feels when you are dehydrated. Being dehydrated can have a big impact on many aspects of your health and this is even more of a concern for older people in care homes. In this video, we are going to help you understand how our teams care for the health of our residents through hydration, and how we make it fun.

Creating a Beautiful Space to Dine

Featherton House has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme over the last 18 months. This episode sheds some light on the most complicated part of the works, replacing the glass-topped dining room. Our home is renowned for its dining experience and the dining room is the heart of the home in every way. Our group estates manager will share some of the challenges face and explain the improvements made. You can learn more about the improvements we have made by following this link.

Sharing Happy Memories

Once again we have asked our incredible team to share some of their experiences of working at Featherton House. This time they relive their favourite memories of made with our residents.
