Local School Children Bring Christmas Joy to Featherton House

The residents of Featherton House Care Home had a magical Christmas surprise thanks to a visit from the village school.

Pupils from Deddington Church of England Primary School delighted the home’s residents with a festive concert in the car park last year during the pandemic. This Christmas, the Featherton House family were pleased to welcome the children back inside for carolling in the home’s dining room.

Wearing Santa hats, the school choir performed a selection of Christmas classics, conjuring fond childhood memories for everyone in the audience.

A Christmas Party to Remember

As always, the Featherton House social calendar was jam-packed over the holiday season, with the annual Christmas party another highlight.

The home’s grand conservatory dining room was transformed into a Christmas grotto for the first festive feast of the season. The party menu included canapes, fizz and a turkey dinner with all of the trimmings.

Following the feast, the home’s residents enjoyed live music from their favourite local performer Tristan Jackson-Pate. Tristan’s performance included an entertaining rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas with some of the Featherton House team providing actions for each of the 12 gifts!
