A Christmas wish came true for the residents of Linden House Care Home in Epsom with a pantomime performance in the comfort of their own lounge.
During December, the Carousel Theatre Company, which specialises in theatrical performances for care homes, visited Linden House with their pop-up production of Jack and the Beanstalk.
The home’s residents enjoyed an afternoon of singing, laughing, and shouting “he’s behind you,” while the professional actors entertained with colourful sets and costumes.
It was the perfect festive afternoon and one of the Christmas highlights for the Linden House family.
Earlier in December, our residents were delighted to wake up to see a blanket of snow in the Linden House garden.
The sight of the white stuff conjured many happy memories and led to some wonderful stories being shared.
With lots of excitement in the air, the team thought it would be a lovely idea to bring the snow inside to the residents.
Linden House activity coordinator Pip Lewis headed around the home with a couple of scoops of snow in a tub for residents to touch and hold.
Pip said: “We had great fun! There was lots of laughing, “oohs” and “ahs” and even a few snowballs thrown at the team!”
